Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Perform road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and vegetation control
- Assist in construction of sidewalks, curbs, and public facilities
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and safety compliance checks
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project implementation
- Maintain clean and organized job sites per OSHA standards
- Respond to emergency stormwater and public utility issues
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Class B CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Knowledge of Florida DOT construction standards
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
