Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and dump trucks safely
- Assist in construction projects including road paving, curb installation, and traffic signal maintenance
- Participate in emergency response for weather-related infrastructure damage
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and departmental protocols
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment inspection reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment (excavator, backhoe) certification preferred
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of traffic control and work zone safety
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
