Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for infrastructure projects
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery such as backhoes, dump trucks, and pavement breakers
- Install, repair, and maintain public facilities including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to execute project specifications with precision
- Document work progress and maintain equipment maintenance logs
- Respond to emergency public works situations during inclement weather
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in construction preferred
- Valid Arizona driver's license with Class B CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction, landscaping, or municipal maintenance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Certification in OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic equipment troubleshooting skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background check
