Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and asphalt patching
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, power saws) safely and efficiently
- Assist in storm drain maintenance and street sweeping operations
- Install and repair traffic control signs and barricades
- Collaborate with crew members on construction and repair projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and city protocols
- Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Experience in public works or landscaping preferred
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to follow verbal instructions precisely
