Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate heavy machinery (bobcats, dump trucks) and hand tools safely
- Assist in road maintenance, sewer repairs, and park facility upkeep
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Participate in emergency weather response (snow removal, flooding)
- Complete daily equipment inspection and maintenance logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Indiana Driver's License (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 1 year construction/maintenance experience
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of traffic control and flagging procedures
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
