Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for infrastructure projects
- Operate light equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and compressors with proper safety protocols
- Assist in street repair, sidewalk installation, and drainage system maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness of work sites and proper disposal of construction debris
- Participate in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines are met
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience with hand/power tools and light equipment operation
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong teamwork skills and commitment to workplace safety
