Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) safely and efficiently
- Assist in road repair, sidewalk maintenance, and stormwater infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Participate in emergency response activities during severe weather events
- Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout project sites
- Collaborate with crew supervisors to prioritize daily tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean record
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in extreme weather conditions
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and light construction equipment preferred
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification a plus
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- Strong teamwork ethic and ability to follow verbal instructions
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
