Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and infrastructure maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools safely and efficiently
- Assist in road repairs, drainage systems, and public facility upkeep
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale municipal projects
- Document work progress and maintain equipment inventory
- Respond to emergency weather-related public works tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years construction/public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or willingness to obtain
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and heavy equipment operation
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow detailed instructions
