Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for public infrastructure projects
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, power saws) under supervision
- Assist in traffic control setup and maintenance during construction zones
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities to identify maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines are met
- Maintain safe work environments and adhere to OSHA protocols
- Document daily work activities and material usage accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Experience with outdoor maintenance or construction preferred
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, rain, cold)
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow verbal instructions
