Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, park upkeep, and drainage systems
- Operate light machinery (sweepers, mowers, compactors) safely and efficiently
- Assist in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Conduct site inspections and document work progress using digital reporting tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public beautification initiatives
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental compliance standards
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic preventative maintenance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment operation
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Experience in landscaping, construction, or public works highly valued
- Strong teamwork skills with ability to follow verbal/written instructions
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends for project deadlines
