Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of streets, parks, and municipal facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, graders, dump trucks) safely and efficiently
- Assist in emergency storm response and debris removal operations
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure and report issues
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement projects
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience
- Certification in OSHA construction safety preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must pass background check and drug screening
