Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light machinery (e.g., mowers, trimmers, trucks) safely and efficiently
- Assist in stormwater management and erosion control projects
- Conduct park maintenance including landscaping and facility upkeep
- Respond to emergency weather-related public works requests
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain accurate work records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment operation experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
