Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including road maintenance, park upkeep, and facility repairs
- Operate light machinery and equipment safely (e.g., mowers, trimmers, dump trucks)
- Assist in storm response and snow removal operations during emergencies
- Conduct daily inspections of public spaces to identify maintenance needs
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Complete accurate work documentation and inventory reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Ohio Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
