Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, graders, and asphalt equipment
- Perform vegetation control and landscape maintenance in public spaces
- Respond to emergency weather-related infrastructure repairs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and departmental standards
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (Class B) preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in public works or construction field
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and power tools safely
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of traffic control and flagging procedures
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
