Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators and dump trucks
- Assist in park maintenance, landscaping, and facility upkeep
- Respond to emergency weather-related public works tasks
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain equipment
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional municipal teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 2 years construction/maintenance experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
