Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of streets, sidewalks, and public parks
- Operate heavy machinery including backhoes, graders, and dump trucks
- Respond to weather emergencies (snow removal, storm cleanup)
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal assets
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Tennessee Class B Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Tennessee DOT physical certification
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime during emergencies
