Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of roads, sidewalks, and public grounds
- Operate light/heavy machinery (sweepers, loaders, dump trucks) safely
- Respond to weather emergencies (snow removal, storm cleanup)
- Support park maintenance and beautification projects
- Assist with traffic control and construction zone setups
- Conduct regular inspections of municipal infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on city projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Basic equipment operation experience (mowers, blowers, etc.)
- Strong commitment to public safety and service ethics
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
