Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance on city sidewalks, streets, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including snowplows, graders, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency storm and flood damage cleanup operations
- Assist in construction and repair of municipal drainage systems
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure for safety hazards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to all OSHA and city safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Colorado Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or construction
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery with proficiency
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in extreme weather
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
