Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers, loaders) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and concrete work
- Conduct routine maintenance on roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project efficiency
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment operation skills
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Buffalo residency preferred (within 6 months of hire)
