Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for infrastructure projects
- Operate heavy equipment safely (e.g., backhoes, dump trucks) under supervision
- Maintain public spaces, roads, and drainage systems through routine inspections and repairs
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute project timelines efficiently
- Document work activities and maintain equipment maintenance logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years of construction/labor experience
- Valid North Carolina Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand/power tools
- Strong commitment to safety procedures and teamwork
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
