Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, graders, dump trucks) for excavation and grading projects
- Perform manual labor including digging, shoveling, and material handling
- Assist in road maintenance, sidewalk repairs, and drainage system upkeep
- Conduct site inspections and report infrastructure issues to supervisors
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and maintain a hazard-free work environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow verbal/written instructions
- Must pass pre-employment physical and background check
