Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for public infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) safely and efficiently
- Assist in road repair, sidewalk installation, and stormwater management systems
- Conduct routine inspections of public works equipment and facilities
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following OSHA safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines are met
- Document work activities and material usage in daily reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or related field
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with reliable transportation
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments
