Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in road construction, drainage systems, and park maintenance
- Operate heavy equipment including backhoes, dump trucks, and jackhammers
- Assist in emergency stormwater and snow removal operations
- Conduct site inspections and report infrastructure issues
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe, operational condition
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and city environmental standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Experience with heavy equipment operation highly valued
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
