Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain city-provided heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, graders)
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and public space beautification
- Conduct safety inspections on equipment and job sites
- Collaborate with supervisors and crew members on project timelines
- Adhere to all OSHA and city safety protocols
- Complete daily equipment maintenance logs and reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Mexico driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Ability to operate heavy machinery with proper training
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards
- 1+ years of labor/construction experience preferred
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
