Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and equipment operation for city infrastructure projects
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, graders) and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage systems, and public facility repairs
- Conduct site inspections and prepare detailed progress reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines are met
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and city safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid Maryland driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years construction/labor experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and construction terminology
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
