Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery (excavators, graders, dump trucks) for construction projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and proper equipment protocols
- Assist in roadway maintenance, drainage systems, and park infrastructure
- Conduct routine inspections of work sites and equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Document daily activities and maintain project logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or public works
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical examination
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
