Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and paving for infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, power saws) and hand tools safely
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park facility upkeep
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment at job sites
- Follow strict safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
- Collaborate with crew members to meet project deadlines efficiently
- Document work progress and report equipment maintenance needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety standards
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, cold)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Previous experience in public works or construction preferred
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
