Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain city-provided heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts, etc.)
- Perform road repairs, sewer maintenance, and park infrastructure upgrades
- Execute snow removal and emergency response operations
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal projects
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic blueprint reading and technical documentation skills
