Responsibilities
- Perform snow and ice removal operations, including plowing, salting, and sanding roads, sidewalks, and public areas.
- Maintain and repair city streets, including pothole filling, crack sealing, and pavement patching.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, and graders.
- Assist in street sweeping, sweeping catch basins, and storm drain maintenance to prevent flooding.
- Set up and monitor traffic control devices and barricades during construction and maintenance projects.
- Perform general labor duties such as digging, hauling materials, and cleaning work sites.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driverβs License with a satisfactory driving record required.
- Ability to pass a post-offer medical examination and drug screen.
- Physical ability to perform heavy labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Experience with heavy machinery or construction equipment is a strong plus but not required.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
