Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in construction, maintenance, and repair of city infrastructure
- Operate heavy equipment including loaders, graders, and compactors
- Assist in road repairs, drainage projects, and park maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Participate in emergency response during weather events
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale municipal projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of construction or public works experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for reporting requirements
