Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including digging, shoveling, and operating hand/power tools
- Assist in construction, repair, and maintenance of public facilities
- Operate light machinery like street sweepers and dump trucks
- Ensure job sites adhere to safety protocols and environmental standards
- Participate in emergency response for weather-related incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Document daily work activities and material usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety practices
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Experience with municipal projects preferred
- Certification in OSHA 10-hour construction safety a plus
