Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for street, sidewalk, and park maintenance projects
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) safely
- Assist in traffic control and safety zone setup for public works
- Load/unload materials and maintain clean job sites
- Participate in storm drain and sewer maintenance activities
- Support emergency response during natural disasters
- Adhere to OSHA and city safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather
- Experience with hand/power tools or construction preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification a plus
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic math skills for material calculations
