Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, and asphalt pavers
- Perform road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park landscaping
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
- Document project progress and material usage in digital systems
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
- 3+ years of heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic blueprint reading and survey equipment familiarity
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Willingness to obtain CDL HazMat endorsement within 90 days
