Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and landscape maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks, graders) with proper certifications
- Assist in snow removal and emergency weather response operations
- Maintain public spaces, parks, and recreational facilities
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain equipment functionality
- Complete daily work logs and progress reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Respond to public works emergencies as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year construction or public works experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Strong teamwork ethic and ability to follow detailed instructions
