Responsibilities
- Perform heavy equipment operation (backhoes, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Execute road maintenance, drainage repairs, and sidewalk installations
- Conduct park landscaping, tree trimming, and facility upkeep
- Manage stormwater systems and water distribution networks
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental compliance standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams on municipal improvement projects
- Document work progress and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CDL Class B license a plus
