Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for infrastructure projects
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks, and asphalt compactors
- Assist in construction and repair of roads, sidewalks, parks, and drainage systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and department protocols
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on public facilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate project timelines and resources
- Document work activities and maintain accurate project records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or public works labor
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
