Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for construction, repair, and maintenance of city infrastructure
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) safely and effectively
- Assist with snow removal, street sweeping, and seasonal maintenance tasks
- Load/unload materials and maintain organized job sites
- Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment cleanliness
- Collaborate with crew members to complete projects on schedule
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards promptly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Minnesota Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Experience with construction tools or heavy machinery preferred
- Basic knowledge of safety standards (OSHA certification a plus)
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
