Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for public infrastructure projects
- Operate light equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and pneumatic tools safely and efficiently
- Assist in street maintenance, sidewalk repairs, and drainage system improvements
- Ensure work areas comply with OSHA safety standards and city regulations
- Participate in emergency response activities during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate records of daily work activities and material usage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to project timelines and quality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Nevada Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or related field
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
