Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, dump trucks) for earthmoving and material transport
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and concrete finishing
- Maintain and repair public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, drainage systems)
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain job site cleanliness
- Assist skilled tradesmen with equipment operation and project support
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years construction/labor experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and heavy equipment
