Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, paving, and concrete work for infrastructure projects
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, saws, pressure washers) safely and efficiently
- Maintain public areas including parks, streets, and facilities through cleanup, landscaping, and repairs
- Follow all safety protocols, OSHA standards, and municipal regulations
- Assist in emergency response activities during weather events or public safety incidents
- Complete daily maintenance logs and report equipment malfunctions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project timelines and deliverables
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of construction or public works experience preferred
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and flexible schedules
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork
