Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and landscaping projects
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., dump trucks, graders) safely and efficiently
- Conduct routine maintenance on public facilities and drainage systems
- Adhere to strict OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete infrastructure projects
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Respond to emergency weather-related public works requests
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and team collaboration
