Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, debris removal, and equipment operation
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, dump trucks) under supervision
- Adhere to strict OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Document daily work progress and material usage
- Participate in emergency response operations during severe weather events
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Driver's License (Class E) with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights/weekends for emergency projects
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred (training provided)
- Residency in Pinellas County within 90 days of hire
