Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers) for construction/maintenance projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Install/maintain public infrastructure (roads, sewers, drainage systems)
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale municipal projects
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Document project progress and complete daily activity reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/maintenance experience
- OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic equipment operation skills (training provided)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness
