Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including street repairs, park maintenance, and sanitation operations
- Operate light machinery (e.g., lawnmowers, snowplows, hand tools) safely and efficiently
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system upkeep
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams during emergency response and special events
- Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction/maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Preferred: 1+ years of public works or similar experience
