Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, debris removal, and equipment operation
- Assist in road maintenance projects such as pothole patching and sidewalk repair
- Operate city vehicles and machinery safely and efficiently
- Participate in seasonal operations including snow removal and vegetation control
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean record
- Experience with heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of basic construction and maintenance practices
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
