Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light/heavy machinery including trucks, loaders, and hand tools
- Assist in storm cleanup, snow removal, and emergency response operations
- Conduct safety inspections of municipal facilities and equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Maintain accurate records of work activities and materials used
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or maintenance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation preferred
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Tennessee Class B CDL license highly desirable
