Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, and pressure washers) safely and efficiently
- Assist in road maintenance, storm drain clearing, and vegetation control
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards at all times
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement projects
- Maintain accurate work logs and inventory of equipment/supplies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or maintenance work
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Knowledge of basic hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Fluency in English (Spanish bilingual preferred)
