Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (e.g., dump trucks, graders) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and debris removal
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate municipal projects
- Document work activities and maintain accurate field records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid North Carolina Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years construction/maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
