Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment for road maintenance, construction projects, and snow removal
- Perform routine inspections and repairs of public facilities, parks, and drainage systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and municipal regulations
- Assist in emergency response during natural disasters or public safety incidents
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated project execution
- Support community events through setup, cleanup, and logistical coordination
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and heavy equipment operation
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and emergency preparedness
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems and maintenance protocols
