Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, debris removal, and equipment operation
- Repair/maintain roads, sidewalks, parks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks) safely and efficiently
- Assist in emergency response during storms or natural disasters
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Complete daily maintenance logs and incident reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Florida Class E driver's license
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Experience operating heavy machinery or construction equipment
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Basic knowledge of public works infrastructure systems
